Boryspil Airport Makes Pleasant Present for the Chinese Diaspora

A festive event, which took place at Boryspil Airport on January 20, 2017 on the occasion of the Chinese New Year and the 25-th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and the People's Republic of China will mark the beginning of the new cultural project of the Airport. According to the Head of Boryspil Airport Yevhenii Dykhne, in 2017 the main air gateway of Ukraine will become a platform for cultural weeks of the nations. The Airport is planning to get its passengers acquainted with the peculiarities of the Israel and Azerbaijan culture within the year.

The high-ranking representatives of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ukraine and the Chinese Diaspora visited Boryspil Airport to celebrate the Chinese New Year. In particular, the audience was welcomed by the First Secretary of the Embassy Mr Ye Sheng and the Head of the Diaspora Mr Li Xiang. At the beginning of the holiday, the Head of the Airport Yevhenii Dykhne got the distinguished guests acquainted with the new employee of the airport passenger service, who will be responsible for the support servicing of the guests from the People's Republic of China. The Chinese descent Jiang Wei was invited for this position for the prevention of the language barrier and provision of maximum comfortable servicing of the passengers from China.

Celebrations on the occasion of friendly relations between Ukraine and the People's Republic of China turned a part of D Terminal Duty Free zone into the theatre stage. At first, the passengers and guests of the event became the witnesses of spectacular show by the martial artists of the Ukrainian Federation of Wing Chun Kung Fu and Chinese Boxing. That was followed by a large cultural programme, which included the touching vocal performance of the singer Iryna Povzun, "Tage" and "The Blossom of Jasmine" Chinese people's dances, the traditional New Year's songs of China and "The Traditional Chinese Wedding" theatre miniature.
